If you haven't seen this video, you've been living in a cave. In an era where Music Television has almost no music on it and VH1 changed their slogan from "Music First" to "Sappy Nostalgia First" this is one of the rare videos in recent years to affect the general population. Headline News was showing clips of it constantly. Every promo for the Grammy award show included it.

Why? Because it's genius. Everybody likes it. It's happy. It's fun. It's humorous, and somehow it perfectly fits the song. Other hip-hop videos are about how tough and intimidating the artists are with their jewelry, temper, or disrespect of women. "Hey Ya" is about how the band is having fun so you should too.
